Right-winger Defeated in Blue Valley
Moderate school board candidate Clinton Robinson handily defeated religious right candidate Charley Morasch 2,535 to 1,510.
Morasch is a supporter of teaching creationism in public schools. He's also a backer of the effort to censor books such as Toni Morrison's Song of Solomon.
Morasch told the Kansas City Star (the link to the Star story is broken) that he'd "support open discussion in the classroom of the evidence for and against evolution or creation."
