False Testimony
"A sad aspect of the evolution "debate" is that so many ministers commit the sin of giving false testimony about the theory," writes Gerald Paske in a letter to the Wichita Eagle. "If they merely stated that they reject the theory on the basis of faith despite the overwhelming scientific evidence in favor of the theory, they would at least preserve their integrity. However, to offer as a criticism of evolution that "it's only a theory," without explaining the high status of "theories" within science, is to mislead to the point of being false testimony."
