Jefferson's Gate of Separation

When Thomas Jefferson wrote a letter to the Danbury Baptist's in 1802 he said, "I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, thus building a wall of separation between church and state."

But, he didn't really mean it.

According to World Net Daily, what Jefferson really meant to say was he was in favor of building a gate of separation between church and state.

Really.
