If Studied Subjectively

Kevin Jackson reports in the Christian Post that the new Human Evolution Exhibit at the American Museum of Natural History in New York is likely to butt heads with Ken Ham's Creation Museum near Cincinnati.

After noting that the AMNH exhibit brings together a wealth of fossil and genetic evidence to make the case for human origins, Jackson concludes that, "[t]he findings presented should not shake up the creation museum organizers, however. Much like evolutionists, the creationists study the same fossil and DNA evidence that the AMNH will present. They argue that, if studied subjectively, the evidence will only back up scriptural authority.

Quite true. Any subject, when studied subjectively, will yield the result the researchers is seeking. If, for example, you believe the Bible is the inerrant, literal word of God, any evidence will appear to support that belief.

The point is to study the evidence objectively, without preconceptions.
