Evolution Sunday in the Heartland
The churches participating in Evolution Sunday this coming weekend aren't all on the east or west coast, or big cities.
"They are mostly from rural areas and the Midwest,” says Michael Zimmerman, a biology professor at Butler University in Indianapolis and organizer of the Evolution Sunday event. “The fact is that the vast majority of clergy members accept evolution and don’t want creationism taught in schools.”
