Teach the Controversy
Eric Wamanji of the East African Standard in Nairobi reports that Bishop Boniface Adoyo of the Nairobi Pentecostal Church and Chairman of Evangelical Alliance of Kenya "has enlisted a number of Western institutions to raise funds for anti-hominid campaigns in the media and through religious sermons."
Adoyo is leading a campaign to keep a world-class collection of fossils documenting human evolution at the National Museums of Kenya from public view.
"The church," reports Wamanji, "plans to hold major demonstrations [at] the museum to press for the removal of the bones."
Hmmm... wonder who those Western institutions might be.
