Kansas Evolves
Evolving in Kansas, a new blog by one of the state's most dedicated supporters of quality science education, has come online since Red State Rabble last posted.
A recent Evolving in Kansas post calls attention to an article on the religious right in the New York Review of Books by one of RSR's favorite writers, the Catholic intellectual Garry Wills.
In his NYRB article, Wills demolishes the fundamentalist fallacy that the U.S. was founded as a Christian nation. In doing so, he clearly demonstrates that separation of church and state are the foundation of religious freedom in this country, and why believers like himself and freethinkers, such as RSR, must work together to defend the Constitution from attacks by fundamentalists.
