Primo Levi's haunting memoir of life as a Jew in Mussolini's Italy, The Periodic Table, told through the unlikely metaphor of chemistry has been named the best science book ever written, according to James Randerson of The Guardian.
RSR hasn't read every science book ever written, but we can say we were enthralled when we read Levi's book many years ago.
