Barnett Stops Short
At a debate sponsored by Kansas City-area chambers of commerce Jim Barnett, the conservative Republican running a no hope campaign against Gov. Kathleen Sebelius, "stopped short of endorsing the conservative-led board’s science standards but said they allowed for open classroom discussions about evolution," according to the Lawrence Journal World.
When a politician with right-wing credentials like Barnett refuses to support the intelligent design inspired science standards, you begin to understand just how unpopular the whole ID mess has become with voters in Kansas.
