Hike to the Burgess Shale

Our old friend Bill Farrell, who claims he is younger than trilobites, though we doubt it, has set up a website to display photos of his hike to see the Burgess Shale in Yoho National Park near Field, British Columbia. It's one of the few places in the world you can find fossils from the Middle Cambrian period -- about 540 million years ago.

Go there to see pictures of fossils from a fascinating period in our evolutionary history. Go there to see pictures of old men hiking. Go there.
