The Game of Life
Matthew Miller reports in the Lansing State Journal on a new video game, "Life Preservers," where players have two objectives: Save the planet from invading alien hordes and learn national science standards on evolution and adaptation.
"The game casts its players as the protectors of Earth's ecosystem," says Miller. "As ships filled with alien species descend on the planet, players have to decide which of the invading ships should be cast into the sun."
