HOPE for Ohio

The focus at RSR lately has been on the Kansas primary election. But, just as the earth isn't the center of the universe, Kansas isn't the only election battle in the country where evolution and Genesis-creation-science-intelligent-design-teach-the-controversy-critical-analysis, or whatever they're calling it this week, are going toe to toe.

Over at Panda's Thumb, Richard B. Hoppe, points out that "Kansas isn’t the only state that will be electing members of its State Board of Education this fall. Ohio will, too, and people and organizations in Ohio are seeking strong pro-science candidates to oppose the ID creationist members of the Ohio Board."

HOPE, Help Ohio Public Education, is actively talking with potential pro-science candidates who might run in District 7, in northeastern Ohio, reports Hoppe. That seat is currently held by one of two ID-creationist leaders on the Oho State BOE.

RSR would like to thank everyone who helped Kansas in the primary election and urge you to lend a hand in Ohio as well. You couldn't get a better start than reading Hoppe's post on Panda's Thumb.

You can take a look at the HOPE website, here.
