Room on the Ark

How Noah got two of each kind of animal to fit on the Ark has always been a vexing problem for biblical literalists. Feeding them all , cleaning up after, settling disputes -- and most of all putting a stop to any doing it like they do on the Discovery Channel -- for 80 days and 80 nights must have been quite a headache.

In recent years, the problem has become even more troubling as some creationists have asserted that dinosaurs -- the largest creatures ever to walk the planet -- were on the Ark's manifest, as well.

Where did Noah find the space -- and the buoyancy -- for such an enormous cargo?

Ironically, science may now have come the the biblical literalists rescue.

"Researchers at the University of Bonn unearthed the remains of at least 10 individual dinosaurs at a quarry near Hannover in northern Germany and found after examination that the new species, Europasaurus Holgeri, measured barely more than six metres from snout to tail, in comparison to its more famous relative Diplodocus measuring a mighty 27 metres."

Only six meters, eh. That's a little better than 18 feet for those of you who are metrically challenged. That's quite a savings. Now, we see how old Noah could have done it.
