Bush Officially Opens 2006 Election Season
For right-wing Republicans it's kind of like throwing the first pitch on opening day.
According to the New York Times, "President Bush is beginning a major push for a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage — part of a new campaign to reassure cultural conservatives who say he and his party abandoned them after the 2004 elections."
