From the Gut

Howard J. Van Till, an emeritus professor of physics and astronomy at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Mich., writes:

I knew that some Christians might object to my friendly attitude toward evolution and my judgment that biblically grounded theology left room for it. Naively, I thought these objections would be expressed politely as carefully crafted intellectual arguments.

I was dead wrong.

Most objections came not from the head, but from the gut.
