Awbrey Appalling
RSR has received this response from a Kansas teacher to David Awbrey's appearance at the Kansas City Press Club. We thought we'd pass it along:
$76,000 a year. That's David Awbry's starting salary as Director of Communications for the KSDE. This is how much he's getting paid to utter nonsense like “Religion is faith in what is unseen. Anyone see the origin? Anyone see the Big Bang? Anyone see the dinosaurs? These are metaphysical speculations . . . "
He knows less about science than a beginning science teacher who'll have to work for about 10 years before making HALF of his salary. I'm appalled that somebody like this is representing Kansas education.
