Kansas School Board: Radical Departure
Yesterday, as it became clear that the wingnut majority on the Kansas school board didn't have a clue as to what was already being taught in sex education classes across the state, the board decided to hold off on ordering an abstinence only policy for at least a month.
During the discussion, Board Chair Steve Abrams, the leader of the board's theocratic majority, unexpectedly proposed a radical departure from past practice:
“We need to have an understanding of exactly what we’re discussing,” he said.
