Science, Education, and the Public
The Dole Center and the University of Kansas have announced they will host a spring lecture series on Science, Education, and the Public.
All lectures will be start at 7:30 p.m. in the Dole Institute on the campus of the University of Kansas in Lawrence.
Tuesday, April 4th: “Science Under Attack from the White House to the Classroom: Public Policy, Science Education,and the Emperor's New Clothes” by Lawrence M. Krauss of the Physics Department at Case Western Reserve University
Wednesday, April 19th: “The Naturalism of Science: The Only Way that Works” by Barbara Forrest, Department of History & Political Science Southeastern Louisiana University
Wednesday, May 3rd: “The Earliest History of Life:Solution to Darwin's Dilemma” by William Schopf, Department of Earth and Space Sciences University of California,Los Angeles
Tuesday, May 9th, “Understanding 'Alternatives' to Evolution“ by Joseph A. Heppert, Department of Chemistry University of Kansas
