Rothschild, Dennett at Duke
Eric Rothschild, the co-lead attorney for plaintiffs in the first-ever lawsuit challenging the teaching of “intelligent design,” will speak at Duke University March 30. The talk, titled “Intelligent Design Meets the First Amendment,” begins at 5 p.m. in the Love Auditorium at LevineScienceResearchCenter. It is free and open to the public.
Daniel Dennett, director of the Tufts University’s Center for Cognitive Studies and the author of “Breaking the Spell: Religion as Natural Phenomenon,” “Freedom Evolves” and “Darwin’s Dangerous Idea,” will be the next speaker in the lecture series. Dennett will speak April 6 about “Darwin, Meaning and Truth.”
