Corkins: Paranoia of Perceptions
In an online chat yesterday sponsored by the Lawrence Journal-World, Kansas Education Commissioner Bob Corkins said he expects that when Kansans move past the "paranoia of perceptions" about the anti-science revisions written into the curriculum by the right-wing school board majority they'll find objections to the science policy to be without substance.
He also dodged this question: "It is my understanding you support vouchers 'scholarships.' Do you believe private and parochial schools, that accept vouchers, should be required to meet the same state and federal regulations as public schools and accept all children?"
