Seeing the Light

"Every major religion describes its God in terms of light, including the Bible, Kabbalah, Book of Mormon, Koran, Hindu texts, the Buddhist Book of the Dead, the Sikh Granth, the Tao-te-Ching, the Cao Dai texts; the ancients religions of the Egyptians, Aztecs, Mayans, Incas and even many Native American Indian and African tribal legends. These comparisons are no accident," observes T. Lee Baumann in a letter asserting that "ID is science" to the Birmingham News.

Baumann, who describes himself as a physician, scientist, and author of several books on science and spirituality, asks:

"Is it pure coincidence that science and physics experiments have also shown that physical light, similar to descriptions of God, is omnipresent and omniscient? These properties arise from the fact that light, like God, exists outside of space and time."

While it may come as a bit of a surprise to physicists that light exists outside of space and time, RSR is simply grateful to have lived long enough to witness the convergence of fundamentalism with New Age philosophy.
