Sinister Tricks
A Lawrence Journal-World editorial observes that conservative Republican leaders are portraying the formation of the Kansas Traditional Republican Majority as a sinister trick.
Just another demonstration, as if one was needed, of how far to the right things have shifted in Kansas. No one is pure enough anymore for the right. How long will it be before they begin to discover traitors in their own ranks?
Charlotte Esau, executive director of the Kansas Republican Assembly, labeled KTRM as “a liberal front group for Democrats who want to pretend they are Republicans so they can hoodwink the voters …”
In other words, anyone who doesn’t agree with me isn’t a real Republican."
