Where's Phill Kline When We Actually Need Him?
We all know that Kansas Attorney General Phill Kline is so deeply concerned about women that he wants to shut down abortion clinics -- which he believes endanger the health of women -- all across the state.
That being the case, we wonder what he will do about the Bright Spot for Health clinic in Wichita. The parents of 13-year-old cancer victim Katie Wernecke want to take her out of treatment at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston and bring her to the Kansas clinic for "Vitamin C Therapy."
Successful treatment of this cancer involves radiation treatment, chemotherapy, and stem cell transplantation. Vitamin C injections, such as those offered at the Bright Spot clinic, have been proven useless.
