The Other Shoe Drops
Yesterday, following the appointment of Bob Corkins as Education Commissioner, RSR predicted that we would soon see professional staff resign or be forced out at the Kansas Department of Education.
Today, we learn that Kathy Toelkes, KSDE communications director, is resigning. RSR will be the first to admit we don't know why she is resigning. It very well could be for reasons other than the impending FEMA-ization of the department by Michael Brown look-alike contest winner Bob Corkins. Or, the utter inevitability of the board's decision to gut the science curriculum.
Perhaps she just wants to spend more time with her family.
Any RSR readers care to predict who will be next to go?
