Of Pandas and People: Exhibits Document Evolution of Creationism
Exhibits from Barbara Forrest's testimony in the Dover intelligent design case are now available online. The exhibits detail the evolution of the word creationism into intelligent design in the textbook, Of Pandas and People.
After the 1987 US Supreme Court decision in Edwards v. Aguillard that found the teaching creationism in public schools was unconstitional, the number of times the word creationism was used in the text declined dramatically, while the phrase intelligent design surged in usage.
