Kansas School Board Actions Explained
Many in Kansas have been puzzled by the actions of the Kansas State School Board. Just yesterday, for example, they offered the state's top education job -- Education Commissioner -- to a man with no credentials or experience in education.
Now, Charles Pasternak, a renowned biochemist and director for the Oxford International Biomedical Center, may have offered an explanation for this puzzling behavior.
"A smart chimpanzee and a dim-witted human are not as indistinguishable as people think," Pasternak told a crowd at ASU's College of Law in a public lecture titled "Quest: The Essence of Humanity,"
"The great apes can do a lot more than we give them credit for," he added.
