Grotesque Mating
If you'd like to see how schools will function if know-nothing creationists and intelligent design "theorists" are not stopped, take a look at this story by Mark Argento in the York Daily Record. I'll supply an excerpt, here, but you really have to read the whole thing to fully grasp the grotesque mating of ignorance and arrogance that gave birth to the Dover School Board.
When a former student, a biology major at Penn State, stood before the board and explained the importance of Darwin's theory of evolution, Buckingham called the student a perfect example of a Dover Area High graduate who went off to college and became "brainwashed." Former board member Jeff Brown testified Buckingham, Alan Bonsell and Noel Wenrich joined the fun and "ganged up" on the kid.
