Florida Science Standards Up for Review

"For me or anyone else within the Department of Education to state a personal belief on this subject or to presume what may or may not be included in the revised science standards would be nothing short of negligent," said Education Commissioner John Winn, in a statement Tuesday. "It would destroy the integrity of the open process we have worked hard to establish."

RSR readers should keep in mind that Cheri Pierson Yecke, Florida's new chancellor for kindergarten through 12th grade education is a conservative, a believer in creationism, a critic of teachers unions.
