Don't Be an Invertebrate
Eugenie Scott, executive director of the National Center for Science Education has a piece of advice for science teachers who are reluctant to teach evolution: Get a backbone.
"Don't be such an invertebrate," said Scott at a Denver Museum of Nature and Science forum on science education. "Stiffen your spine a little bit, because it's really important for students to learn evolution."
