Difficult Times

With the Kansas Board of Education preparing, next month, to approve revised science standards that open the door to pseudoscience, Kansas Citizens for Science is making an appeal for help:
These are difficult times for science education and Kansas schools. The state Board of Education will soon adopt anti-science and anti-evolutionary science standards influenced by the Intelligent Design/creationist movement. Kansas will once again become internationally infamous, to the detriment of education, bioscience industry, and the general reputation of our state.

Kansas Citizens for Science will continue to be here working to educate the public about the issues and to resist these efforts to use our public education system to further the national Intelligent Design agenda.

We can use all the help we can get – the more people who are willing to contribute in some way the better. Here are some ways you can help:

Join KCFS. Dues for a year are $25, $15 for students and teachers.

• Stay in touch with news, events and resources at our website, and at our forums.

Red State Rabble is a proud member of KCFS. You should be, too.
