We know. We know. You think Red State Rabble has gone a bit overboard in our reaction to the appointment of Michael Brown, eh, Bob Corkins as Kansas Education Commissioner. You think we've been too hard on Corkins. That we lack objectivity, subtlety. You think we are using a sledgehammer to swat a fly.

- “Are you serious, really?” Senate Majority Leader Derek Schmidt, R-Independence, said.
- “It’s one thing to debate evolution, but it’s another to put Bob Corkins in charge of the department,” said Senate Minority Leader Anthony Hensley, D-Topeka.
