Always Running From Censorship

"The charter campus in Lawndale [LA Metro] recently became the latest public school battleground over Always Running, a memoir by author Luis J. Rodriguez, after several local families complained that its language and graphic descriptions of sex, violence and drug use were far too mature for freshman readers...

"In testimony that was both heartfelt and civil, teachers and students generally defended the book's writing style and overall theme of redemption, while moms and dads said it was too much."

Reported by Ian Hanigan in the Daily Breeze.
