October Surprise?
A final vote on the Kansas science standards may not come until October, according to Board Chairman Steve Abrams. The board's conservative majority sent it's latest antiscience changes back to the science-writing committee for review -- after warning the committee not to make changes to the ID content. When the science committee reports back to the board, the standards are expected to be sent out for external review.
