Manhattan: Take Back Kansas Fundraiser
The Red State Blues Band, made up primarily of K-State scientists -- all of whom supported a resolution passed by the Manhattan School Board to reject the new state science standards -- will headline a fundraiser for the Kansas Alliance for Education on June 10 at 7:00 pm on the patio of the Little Apple Brewing Co. at 1110 Westloop Center in Manhattan, Kansas.
The KAE is campaigning for moderate pro-science school board candidates across the state. The suggested donation is $10 dollars.
Sue Gamble will be there -- she's everywhere these days it seems fighting for our kids and public education -- along with Randy Martin, president of the USD 383 Board of Education and others.
Bring your friends. Bring your family. Bring a lawn chair.
Fun, with a purpose.
