Dover Teachers Support Dover CARES

Christina Kauffman of the York Dispatch reports:
Alan Bonsell, chairman of the [Dover School, RSR] board's negotiation committee with the teachers, has said he disapproves of the state teachers union's political action committee's support of his opponents in today's election.

The Political Action Committee for Education, which is affiliated with Pennsylvania State Education Association, has contributed about $5,000 to candidates for Dover CARES (Citizens Actively Reviewing Educational Strategies).

Dover CARES is a slate of eight candidates who oppose the teaching of intelligent design in biology classes.

Bonsell has said he thinks the teachers want Dover CARES candidates to win the election so the teachers can get a pay raise.
